EMBRACE WHO YOU TRULY ARE
Nory Horace is a sweet girl who possesses a special, magical talent. Although she has the ability to turn into an animal, she's unable to maintain its shape for very long. Instead of turning into just a kitten, she'll turn into a 'bitten (beaver plus kitten) or a 'skunkephant' (skunk plus elephant'). What can be the cause of this? By her father's request, Nory is sent away from home to attend a new school, one that offers a class to those who have upside-down magic. Nory is frustrated with her abilities, but she soon finds hope when her teacher Ms. Staff shows her the secret to discovering her true self.
Sarah Mlynowski, Lauren Myracle, and Emily Jenkins are a great team of writers who show that unusual talents can also be quite special in Upside Down Magic.
For 3rd-5th grade.

LIFT THE FLAP FOR SOME FUN FUN FUN
Hello in There!: A Big Sister's Book of Waiting by Jo Witek and illustrated by Christine Roussey is a fun story of a very excited big sister who begins to imagine what the baby in the womb is thinking, doing and might look like. One side is big sister doing her everyday thing and the left side has a flap that you open to see what baby is up to. This book is for all those families looking for a tongue in cheek way to get their child ready for a new baby.
In Who's in the Tree? And Other Lift-the-flap Surprises by Craig Shuttlewood animals rhyme and do silly things. Kids will want to guess where the animals are hiding and lift the flap to see if they were right! A fun book for the little ones.
For ages 3 and up.

EVER WONDER WHY RABBITS HAVE SHORT, FLUFFY TAILS?
Rabbit wants leaves and flower buds to munch on during the summertime, but he can't reach them. Couldn't they just fall down? Or, better, yet, is there some other way Rabbit could get closer to the the branches of the tree? His growing frustration to wait for these tasty treats to fall leads him to think of a clever plan that will get him high into the trees: a song and dance that will cause snow to fall down, even during the summer time! After delivering an entertaining amount of song and dance, rabbit is in need of much needed rest. When he awakens, he is involved in an accident and finds that his tail now matches the length of his patience.
JAMES and JOSEPH BRUCHAC Iroquois tale, RABBIT'S SNOW DANCE will amuse readers and may find themselves humming Rabbit's tune throughout the day. For Kinder thru 4th grade.

MINE! MINE! ALL MINE!
Betty Bunny Wants Everything by Michael B. Kaplan
Mother Rabbit allows each of her children to select one toy
from the toy shop but things don’t go as planned. Betty Bunny decides to
fill a cart with toys and have a wild tantrum at the store. Mother Rabbit
doesn’t tolerate Betty’s behavior and takes her young one home without any
toys. Mother and Father Bunny must devise a plan to help their
tantrum-throwing child make responsible choices about saving or spending
money. A nice story that introduces the importance of budgeting money and
the value of modeling patience and understanding.
