NIGHT ANIMALS ON THE PROWL

Shhhhh! Look out for the Night Animals! All the creatures of the night come out to play in this fun and clever book from talented author-illustrator Gianna Marino. Skunk, possum, wolf, and bear are all seeking refuge from the creepy night animals they fear are lurking and chasing after them in the darkness. But what could be bigger than a bear or scarier than a wolf? These animals, along with their captivated readers, are in for a humorous surprise when they discover just who the titular night animals really are.

The engaging text and boisterous artwork make this an amusing picture book introduction to nocturnal animals, perfect to share with preschoolers to second graders.

LIONS AND TIGERS AND BEARS, OH MY!

Mitchell is terrified of bears so when his teachers tell him that everyone is going camping for the weekend - his birthday weekend - Mitchell is a little bummed out.  Luckily, though, his best friend Habib will be by his side and between the two of them, they can conquer anything!  Join Mitchell and the rest of the Zigzag Afternoon Center gang in the latest installment of their crazy afterschool adventures.

Bears Beware by Patricia Reilly Giff is perfect for second and third graders who are getting too big for easy readers but not quite ready for a complex chapter book.

DANGER IN A BOX

Zoomy wears very thick glasses. He likes to make lists. Some things make him very nervous. But he helps his grandparents and does lots of research at the local library (a really great place to find out about stuff). One day his wayward pop comes along and leaves a big box of junk. Inside there's a mysterious notebook, so Zoomy starts to do research on it. Somehow his investigating ends up in a robbery, a fire and some very scary changes! THE DANGER BOX by Blue Balliett will captivate any reader grades 5 & up.
